For over 30 years, our heart has been in horse breeding – and "Gestüt Horstfelde GmbH" now looks back on three decades of passion and continuous development. The company was officially registered in the Potsdam Commercial Register in 1995, but its roots go back even further: Helga and Manfred Semmer founded the stud farm on the site of a former LPG facility – with a few Brandenburg horses and a great deal of pioneering spirit.
The buildings and facilities were continually expanded and maintained with patience and attention to detail. Over time, this created a unique oasis right on the southern outskirts of Berlin, nestled in a charming nature reserve.

Today, Gestüt Horstfelde presents itself as a renowned breeding and rearing farm with around 50 horses, a dedicated team, an attached farm, and its own riding and driving club. Our horses and successes in breeding, training, and competition speak for themselves – and make us known beyond the region.
Over the past three decades, we have had a total of 256 horses: animals bred, raised, or purchased here, which have enriched our everyday lives and shaped our history. Currently, 45 horses share life with us at the stud farm, plus a few temporary "guests" – and there's room for more four-legged friends as well!

We look back with pride and gratitude – and at the same time, we look forward with excitement: The joy of working with horses and people, our commitment to quality, and our constant development drive us to continue shaping Horstfelde, our life's work, for the future.
